Har bil i bestilling, og det kan se ut som det er tid for ny tråd under Leveringsproblemer...
Et lite søk på Ford og Genk fikk frem denne info'n:
http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/japan-supply-shortage-hits-european-firms/89040/Ford has closed its European car plant in Genk, Belgium for five days starting on Monday.
Adrian Schmitz, spokesperson for Ford explained: "The downtime at Genk was originally scheduled for May, but has been pulled forward as part of a precautionary plan to assess how we will go forward given the current situation in Japan."
But he confirmed: "The overall production will not be affected and no jobs are at stake at Genk."
http://washingtonexaminer.com/news/2011/03/ford-idle-belgian-plant-5-daysFord spokesman Todd Nissen said the plant in Genk will close beginning April 4. The company had planned to idle the plant in May for another reason. But it moved up the date after auto parts suppliers in Japan were damaged by the twin disaster on March 11.
"We didn't run short of parts, but if we can find things to do to conserve parts it certainly makes sense to do that," he said.
Da er det tid for å spekulere i hva dette får å si for oss, ,med bil i bestilling

Ford is reported to be planning a production halt at its assembly plant in Genk, Belgium from 4 to 6 July inclusive because of a temporary shortage of some components.
Adrian Schmitz, a spokesman for the OEM's European operations, confirmed to Bloomberg that the plant, which produces the Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy models, will suspend work by moving ahead previously scheduled breaks. Schmitz said that Ford is working with suppliers on re-establishing deliveries and expects to make up production later in the summer. No details of the components or suppliers involved were given.
